About the owner
Lindsey is the owner, creator, printer and all things proprietor of get the book out.
She is a UK-based swag maker & printed merchandiser for authors, readers and gift enthusiasts alike, dabbling in any genre you can think of.
Originally from the Midlands (Wolves girl), but now an adopted Yorkshire lass living with 3 boys (consisting of 1 man child, and 2 four-legged, barking creatures), Lindsey Loves gaming, shopping, walking, reading and binge-watching TV shows while trying not to stuff her face with peanut M&Ms!
She Can be found holed away in her office/craft room attempting to create, while simultaneously screaming at something going wrong! With either Heart 80s, or magic soul, at various, interchanging volumes in the background!
Lindsey started out as an author many moons ago, writing paranormal crime/thrillers, and also something a little more risque (under a pen name!)
Book signings became a thing (they probably already were, but still a very new concept to a brand new author) which meant swag was needed. At the time, most swag makers were located overseas; mostly in America. The cost of producing and shipping the goods was phenomenal, so, Lindsey decided to make her own. She'd always been interested in art and everything that came with it - having studied it throughout her education - so it wasn't a chore to create little bits and pieces for these signing events, sat at her dining table until all hours.
Fast forward a decade, and those little beaded keyrings, metal bookmarks and bottlecap magnets turned into a much bigger merchandise adventure. Lindsey spent time and money developing and growing the business, bought bigger machinery, paid for licensing, researched the best materials, and now offers much, much more than she once did - T-shirts, Totes, tumblers, mugs and various other fantabulously wonderful things are now the norm.
